Hello all. I am newcomer to these forums and I've been reading quite extensively and as thoroughly as I can on the K1 process. I am a USC who is currently in a long distance relationship with a girl from Oman and are ready to take the next steps. We haven't had a first meeting yet due to these traveling restrictions from covid, but are hopefully planning to make a trip to see each other as soon as tourism opens up. My question is regarding gathering sufficient proof of our relationship as required by the K1 process. So far we have tons of chat conversations everyday through the dating app that we initially met through, Skype, and WhatsApp conversations also. We talk and video call when we can based on our schedules as well. We've sent each other gifts, and we have receipts of those too.

For those of who have submitted and received approval for your K1 application, would you share with me what you have provided to show proof of relationship? I know that the guide mentions to include travel itineraries, flight details, passport stamps, etc. I'm confused about what kind of photos would be suitable and how many? Also, for chat conversations, do we just take screenshots and print them out in color? What else should I be mindful of? Appreciate the help. Thanks!

You need to travel to meet in person first and go from there, don't plan anything until you meet your right one in person. We didn't include any chats or messages, just plane tickets, passport stamps and photos. Good luck.

Slow down....LOL......First you MUST meet in person....then decide if you both want to go forward....then file the I-129f (which does not require proof of relationship)......  I suggest you study the VJ guides for your situation:

Like others stated- take things slow. You may not even like her in person! You can file after you met but more evidence is of course recommended. I personally don't know how tough their embassy is- but it being a muslim country I would assume it is. You would want to submit passport stamps that showed you visited her, flight ticket, if you book a hotel in both of your names you can show that, photos of you guys together with family.

You need to have met in person within the past two years. You would include a few photos together and maybe with family if possible. You would label the photos with names and dates

Include a photocopy of you passport stamp showing when you were in Oman. Boarding passes, receipts from purchases while there. Hotel reservations, flight reservations, itineraries. Anything you can possibly add that shows you were in Oman with your fiancée.
