How to tell if NVC has received our file from USCIS?

Hello, our I-129F got approved April 8th at the California Service Center. We got a letter saying it will now be sent to NVC. For those of you who have gone through this process, how do you know if the NVC has received the package from USCIS other than calling them (which is not allowed at the moment according to their website). Did you get a letter mailed to the petitioner’s home address? Or was it an email? Is there a way you can check? We tried the state dot gov CEAC page and entered our case (WACxxxxxxxxxx) but it didn’t come back with any results

Thank you!

Thank you!

You can't use the receipt number on ceac, you need the case number. NVC assigns that to your case.

Back in 2016 we called them, sorry if that's not a possibility at this point. NVC should send a letter with once they've assigned you a case number.

Thank you!

What's great is that you will receive an email with your new case number.  Once you have the case number you will be able to search it via CEAC.

It's rare that a case does not arrive at NVC for case assignment. You can relax without calling that your case will arrive. It normally takes 30 days to NVC from USCIS NOA2 and then another 2-3 weeks from there. When that period has elapsed then you'll know it's time to call NVC for your case number. A link has been posted for you (thank you @Ama_Kwaku) to receive additional information on this process.

That's correct, my comment was based on the OP saying "calling them (which is not allowed at the moment according to their website)". Just letting them know that I called anyway after the appropriate time frame :)
