@MerryMentor Should we file separate G-1450s for the I-130 packet and I-485 packet? Or just one common G-1450 outside both packets along with G-1145? Also, any preference for credit card vs. check? We have listed credit card details in both right now.

Some page on simple citizen seems to suggest sending separate G-1450s for I-130 packet and I-485 packet.

Also make sure you put the correct amount of payment for each form, they outright reject the forms if the amounts are wrong.

For form I-944, "declarant" means the immigrant who is applying for AOS correct?

Yes that's right, it's in the case you're using an interpreter. Which I think might come against the I944 because they want you to show proof of English proficiency.

Quick question guys,

We filed for AOS on May 22nd and our case was received with NOA in the mail on May 12th, do I have to notify my university that I am now in a "pending adjustment of status"? Or am I still considered a F1 student at this stage? I'll be graduating in August.

Umm I'm confused then - where does the immigrant beneficiary applying for AOS sign on the I-944 form then? We are not using any preparers or interpreters.

You’re still under the F1 status (unless you’ve violated its terms).

Welp apparently I do have an A-number (just found out that the USCIS# on the OPT EAD is the same as the A-number) that I did not include in any of my forms. Will they return all our forms for this reason?

No that shouldn't kick it back.

Chicago lockbox received our package on Tue 5/26 and the signature confirmation just says “signed by L Lockbox

Is this normal? I thought a person would sign their name there.

also, any idea when we would be notified via email/text? We send separate G-1145 forms for 130/485 packages.
