The officer didn’t ask for too much evidence, he was very curt and mad that we didn’t have pictures from wedding celebration. We didn’t have a big celebration because being students we didn’t want to spend money on things we didn’t consider important. Other than that he just asked for each other biographical details, family information and inadmissibility questions from I485.

The celebration part pissed him off. Also he had a thick African accent and wasn’t loud enough, it was hard to understand him. He definitely was an immigrant and an ####### for sure.

Dang that's crazy! I hope you don't get a second interview, and if you do the interviewing officer is nicer.

This is offensive. You can always ask someone to repeat what they are saying, but saying all this combined is just very offensive and borderline racist.

And if you got denied, it was more likely because lack of evidence in general, not because you did not have a picture. There is a long list of evidence that people take, not just a picture.

What’s racist about this? He is from Africa, African is not a race. I’m not talking about African American accent, more like Nigerian  accent. And yes, he was very rude and and uptight. He didn’t ask any substantial questions that you would expect at the interview. We had enough evidence, 3 years of leases, joint accounts, joint credit cards, retirement account beneficiary, joint car insurance, spouses name on passport, enough pictures at different places with friends and family, what else do we need?

A provocational post has been removed.

A profane reply to it (with avoidance of the site's language-filter) has been removed.

Both offenses are violations of the site's Terms of Service.

Rather than impose administrative action on either offender this time, read and heed:

1.  There are more genteel ways to describe communication difficulties with presumed immigrants.

2.  No indignant offense-taking is going to make a highly upset poster "behave."

3.  Earlier comments are close to stereotyping -- another TOS violation.

4.  We don't poke sharp sticks at "wounded" posters here.

5.  Words MEAN things, so use them correctly or suffer future consequences.

This legal-immigration process is dysfunctional at best and broken at worst.  The tension and frustration become unbearable, seemingly with no way to fight against it or relieve it.  Please remain unfailingly supportive of each other.  Remember that if you hold one pencil and snap it, it will break; conversely, if you hold a handful of pencils together and try to snap them, they'll remain undamaged.

Update: Had interview on 3/26 that seemed to go well at the time - just standard questions from a very friendly IO.

Status for I-485 changed to "new card being produced" on 3/29 and again to "approved" on 3/30.

(I-130 was also approved on 3/30.)

Congratulations!
