My interview is next week. That's exactly what I was afraid of. I emailed them twice about my documents and they got back to me within minutes both times. After the second email (after about 3 weeks FOIA moving to step 5) it finally showed up in my document library. I feel little better now.

I just received a darn copy paste reply.

Case xyz is in the final stage of the process. You will receive an email when the documents are available to view through the online portal.

@abfar..my documents weren't available at the time of the interview even though it was marked complete..infact it was available to me 2 weeks after my naturalization.

I suspect the moment it goes to complete a copy is electronically dispatched to USCIS .

Yes! That was the reply for my first email. In the second one I was more aggressive.

Got this email from my local field office, after sending "outside processing time" inquiry.

"Our records indicate that your application is in pre-scheduling processing.  You will receive an interview notice at the address on file once this initial processing is complete and an interview is available."

Has anyone received this type of message, and what does it mean?

General wisdom says that your application is ready to be scheduled for an actual interview. Which may very well mean that back ground checks, file retrieval etc has been completed upto their satisfaction.

this is a good indication in my opinion.

I think they will schedule interview once date available . Below is the exact wording my congressmen send and after 25 days I got interview .

-Your are placed into the queue for interview scheduling on January 7, Mr. XXXX will receive an appointment notice when his case is scheduled .

I received interview on Dec 3.

Just staring what I went through . These wording is not same as yours but I think your message is positive .

I filed on May 1st 2020 and did the biometrics on July 8 2021. After that no news nothing. Do I do anything or just wait?

Try the FOIA route. Look back on posts in this group for more information. Also, join this Facebook group to learn more about the process:

I wanted to chime in here after lurking for a while.

I was also a May 2020 filer. I received my interview notice in January after submitting a FOIA request in December. That could be related or not. I've had my interview in February and my oath is scheduled for this week.

My heart does go out to all that have waited this long but I wanted to let folks know that things are moving for some of us. I hope this batch gets finally processed as it has been too darn long.

Congratulations on being done with the process soon. Which city did you file in and was it 3 or 5 year based filing ?
