  1. Hi folks . My wife and I are citizens now . Ceremony is over and we so happy this journey is over . Thank you Sam713 for giving me the FOIA suggestion . If not your advice I would have been stuck god knows how long . Though the journey was long you brought a bright light of hope to us and sweet end !! Me and my family are immensely grateful . God bless you ❤️🙏
  2. Hi Folks . Today my wife and I passed interview !!They allowed us to get in 15 min prior to interview timing for check in ( cell phone were allowed ) . I had to wait 30 min to be called . Once officer called my name they had a small oath followed by civic testing . I applied in 5 yr GC category . They only asked me GC,DL, passport nothing else. They asked 6 civic questions , a simple sentence to write and another one liner to read . It took 5 minutes . Then Officer went through N-400 form ( bunch of YES/NO) I think it’s section 12 in N-400. Since I changed my state of residence she had to update that in the system . Followed by Bunch of simple questions about wife and kids( name DOB). She asked few basic questions on last out of country travel( not specifically dates of travel though) Once everything was completed , I had to sign the changes and corrections. Besides a initial wait of 30 min the actual interview process took 15 min only . I was asked if I need to change my name or anything and she can add in portal( seems that is an option ). Finally I was told I passed my interview and she is forwarding for oath ceremony . I was given a letter of interview pass check and congrats to oath message check. Norfolk , Va doesn’t offer same day Oath .She said oath details will be mailed in a month time! Extremely relieved ! Wishing you all good luck for those waiting . It’s just matter of time, hold tight Everyone will be citizen There was no A-file drama They did not ask anything. A-file was uploaded after some 50 days of FOIA filing, Thank you all for your valuable suggestions and comments
  3. You applied as 5yrs GC holder?maybe you can upload those document in the portal now?
  4. To your specific question . No you won’t be allow to pick from multiple options /answer in screen.
  5. I think they will schedule interview once date available . Below is the exact wording my congressmen send and after 25 days I got interview . -Your are placed into the queue for interview scheduling on January 7, Mr. XXXX will receive an appointment notice when his case is scheduled . I received interview on Dec 3. Just staring what I went through . These wording is not same as yours but I think your message is positive .
  6. For those who filed FOIA , was the interview / oath done successfully? Could you please update .in another forum someone posted after interview pass , officer could not make decision since A file was not available ? Don’t know the specifics but thought I will check with this group if for FOIA filers all went fine till oath .Thanks
  7. One more point If it helps for anyone in the forum. My congressman send me a email recently and it says my interview was in queue to be scheduled which exactly was after 30 days from FOIA filing when I was in step 3. During this period I called USCIS several time and they never informed me anything like interview in queue . Only after close to 60 days FOIA was completed and interview scheduled in portal. Could be all this background /a-file information was send to USCIS much prior to my A-file upload (55days) ? I lost hopes when I saw folks getting interview in 30days and It took 55 days in my case . I wish they would have Informed me of interview in queue when I was in step 3 and when I called them asking for any advancement … It would have relieved some stress out of me .Honestly I don’t care now , just a share of my experience . Good luck everyone 🙏
  8. I don’t know if the whole A-file is really relevant for USCIS. But I guess once the background check is completed it should trigger interview . Doesn’t make sense someone is going to go over page by page all this immigration document manually and schedule for interview . Maybe USCIS get notified background check is complete with this FOIA process .I am just guessing . Also there are many who passed interview and are in step 3.
  9. I got the complete A-file after some 55 days and interview after few days after the file was uploaded . A-file in my case basically has everything tagged to your Immigration . I have all the visa details including forms filled to apply for those visa , GC filed details including supporting documents I submitted like college education documents , work experience details , resume when I filed GC, EAD, I797, I140 , it also have detail of forms filled by attorney on my behalf . Also passport details , entry/ exit travel details from passport pages, I-95 card, it goes upto the latest N-400 form , biometric info,oath/naturalization etc. Pretty much all historical details related to your immigration . Mine around 500+ pages
  10. Hi Folks . QQ. Those who already attended interview . In interview letter they are asking to bring only GC,DL, passport’s,Interview notices . Mine is 5 yrs GC to naturalization category .Anything else you guys think need to be carried or uploaded to the USCIS portal ? Tax details are 2 year old ones I uploaded during our application filing time 2020 May. Should I upload or carry tax filed details of 2021? Any speeding ticket details I need to carry ? Let me know please anything you think from your experience . Thanks for help.
