Hospitals are getting paid more to list patients as Covid-19 and three times as much if the patient goes on a ventilator, according to The Spectator.

Last night Senator Dr. Scott Jensen from Minnesota went on The Ingraham Angle to discuss how the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) is encouraging American doctors to overcount coronavirus deaths across the US.

People have to have a confirmed positive test result. Otherwise they are listed as suspected.

Suspected or confirmed, they are still counted in the state reports.  And now we are seeing that the amount of people infected could be 50-85 times higher.

I'm commenting on the hospital reimbursement. We get a summary everyday of confirmed positive patients, suspected positive patients, and number of patients on ventilators. People suspected of having Covid-19 are still in isolation protocol, but if they test negative on 2 subsequent tests, they are not given a diagnosis of Covid-19. We can't just make that up. The penalty for doing that works out to a  lot more than $13000.

I thought all was fair game during a pandemic?

"If someone dies with Covid-19, we are counting that as a Covid-19 death" --Deborah Birx (RC/WHCTF)

"I can't imagine someone comes in with coronavirus, goes to an ICU, and they have an underlying heart condition, and they die, they're gonna say cause of death:heart attack... I cannot see that happening" --Fauci

"The way in which we code deaths in our country is very generous in the sense that all the people who die in hospitals with the coronavirus are deemed to being dying of the coronavirus.. on re-evaluation by the National Institute of Health, only 12 per cent of death certificates have shown a direct causality from coronavirus, while 88% of patients who have died have at least one pre-morbidity - many had two or three." --Prof Walter Ricciardi, scientific adviser to Italy minister of health, March 23rd

Basically, these numbers are quite useless, and should just be dropped altogether, until some useful (read: accurate) methodology can be put in place.

Nope. Lots of misinformation out there, and the people spreading it around are not really helping anything. Right now, most inpatients are getting the test result back the same day, and there are not usually any surprises. If someone is in ICU on a ventilator with a fever of 102, they are going to test positive. It might have been different early on when people couldn't get test results back for weeks.

Your hospital will be more honest than most.

No way in Hades that we'll ever know or get accurate counts with this artificial inflation.

06-04-2007 = TSC stamps postal return-receipt for I-129f.

06-11-2007 = NOA1 date (unknown to me).

07-20-2007 = Phoned Immigration Officer; got WAC#; where's NOA1?

09-25-2007 = Touch (first-ever).

09-28-2007 = NOA1, 23 days after their 45-day promise to send it (grrrr).

10-20 & 11-14-2007 = Phoned ImmOffs; "still pending."

12-11-2007 = 180 days; file is "between workstations, may be early Jan."; touches 12/11 & 12/12.

12-18-2007 = Call; file is with Division 9 ofcr. (bckgrnd check); e-prompt to shake it; touch.

12-19-2007 = NOA2 by e-mail & web, dated 12-18-07 (187 days; 201 per VJ); in mail 12/24/07.

01-09-2008 = File from USCIS to NVC, 1-4-08; NVC creates file, 1/15/08; to consulate 1/16/08.

01-23-2008 = Consulate gets file; outdated Packet 4 mailed to fiancee 1/27/08; rec'd 3/3/08.

04-29-2008 = Fiancee's 4-min. consular interview, 8:30 a.m.; much evidence brought but not allowed to be presented (consul: "More proof! Second interview! Bring your fiance!").

05-05-2008 = Infuriating $12 call to non-English-speaking consulate appointment-setter.

05-06-2008 = Better $12 call to English-speaker; "joint" interview date 6/30/08 (my selection).

06-30-2008 = Stokes Interrogations w/Ecuadorian (not USC); "wait 2 weeks; we'll mail her."

07-2008 = Daily calls to DOS: "currently processing"; 8/05 = Phoned consulate, got Section Chief; wrote him.

08-07-08 = E-mail from consulate, promising to issue visa "as soon as we get her passport" (on 8/12, per DHL).

08-27-08 = Phoned consulate (they "couldn't find" our file); visa DHL'd 8/28; in hand 9/1; through POE on 10/9 with NO hassles(!).
