More like 15 20 years.

@Rushkani,

Lucky Cat provided you with good resources. But be aware that besides the length of time it will take, there are other limitations. For example, if his sister has children that at risk of aging out (meaning they get older than 21 when their mother receives a visa), then they may not be able to come along with the his sister.

India probably 20 years, and the Spouse that matters is the one at that time together with minor qualifying children.

Just to clarify, the processing time is quite long, a few years, but that’s not what matters, it’s the wait for the priority date to become current that matters. The wait for those getting visas now has been 13 years, but it has been getting longer over time as the queue increases but the gate (visa numbers available per year) remains the same size. Ten years ago it had been a ten year wait, for example.
I’d agree 15 years minimum, likely more. Best they get on with their lives in the meanwhile while keeping this back of mind for when they eventually get current. 2035-2040 is a long way away.

Kind of shocking when you actually write out what year it would be. I still think the 80s was 20 years ago lol
