I received the NVC case #,  and they told me it was assigned on 03/18/20. not sure when it is sent out and they could not give me that information, but I told my fiancé to do the DS-160 which is what I believe is part of the next step. but now im confused again, and im not sure if I read somewhere that If I had to do the DS-160 as well or is it just the beneficiary? also once we have that confirmation # what else if anything needs to be done to get an interview date?

Thank for your help.

Just the beneficiary has to complete a DS-160.

Thank for your help.

Did you check your case number on ceac.state.gov to see what the current status is?

YMMV

I did try checking in CEAC.STATE.GOV but it just gives me a standard message  of "NO STATUS".

Im wondering if I need to have her do anything else?  she was told I needed to send her Ds-160 confirmation page and some other paper to NVC? have no idea what to do now.

You are a K-1 visa applicant so nothing gets sent to NVC. All correspondence or documents are supplied to your interviewing consulate. Yours is Guyana. Detailed instructions for what is needed for your interview is contained in the P3 letter. Here is a link to the letter.

Also, you should join the NOA2 thread and download the PDF file on the first page, first post for tips, tricks and hacks to follow your file from NOA2 to your embassy.
