When you login to the USCIS site, at the top right, under account there is an inbox link. I sent a message using that asking if my case was still at Potomac.

They responded with this.

  • Visit https://egov.uscis.gov/processing-times/
  • Select I-130; Petition for Alien Relative, from the Form dropdown
  • Select Texas Service Center from the Service Center dropdown
  • Click “Get Processing Time” link

Hey Folks,

Got some good news! Our case was approved on 22nd of this month (just got the notification). It appears that they transferred our case to Texas SC from Potomac without letting us know.

NOA1: 02/24/20

Service Center: Potomac SC

Last Touched: 05/14/2020

Latest Touch: 09/22/2020

NOA2: 09/22/2020

To be honest, I am positively surprised. I was expecting NOA2 to be issues somewhere in December at the earliest. So, there is hope. Please be patient!!

Thank You!

We have the same status. How did you find out that you were transferred to Texas - did you talk to a tier 2 officer at USCIS?

Same here. I called uscis, wondering why my i130 is taking long because it was passed processing time. Come to find out they sent our i130 from California to Vermont without sending us a notice. 🤦🏼‍♀️

But arent Vermont folks getting approved much ahead of the official processing times? Good luck!

I Was thinking the same thing. I notice cases that were transferred to Vermont are getting approved faster, so might not be so bad. Wish you luck!

Hey all, 7months of waiting almost the end of Texas processing time and I received today an RFE😱 Saying that pages 4 thru 6 of the I-130A Form (Supplemental Information for Spouse Beneficiary) is missing. waited all this time!

can I submit the Evidence through my online account?  Do I just take a picture of those Missing pages and upload it ? Or should I send in the complete form with 6 pages?

Our stupid RFE was saying they never received our I-130 application when we did it online🙃. Called USCIS and the tier 2 officer said they do have it but to follow the instructions.

Hey you don’t have to wait to get it in the mail you can print it and upload it with the missing pages.

I uploaded the missing pages I’m wondering how long before I hear something. My case was just 10 days away from Texas 7.5 months processing time. Wondering if it’s gonna take months again!? Can’t understand waited end of processing time to send RFE for missing pages

No it shouldn’t take months. Something that small should take a week or so

Hi all,

Does anyone know about how the notification goes out on approval? We're you sent an email along with the status change in the online portal? Or did the status change online after you received a physical copy in mail.

Once the status changes on any decisions on your case notices get sent out the same day.

however I noticed that I have my notifications set for emails and I didn’t receive any email when they sent a RFE.  I received a notification from a App (Lawfully) that I have on my phone.
