Hubby got his 1 year stamp today.  They kept his green card and the worker wrote in his passport that the I-751 and N-400 are pending. When my husband asked about that, the worker said "don't worry about your cases, they're coming soon". Unfortunately, no further clarification was provided. Both cases should be at the field office, so fingers crossed will get an appointment notice before the end of the year.

How did you find out that his case should be at the field office? Is this something you could confirm at the time of stamping or did you find out some other way? Thanks!

I had reached out to the office of Congresswoman McBath prior to filing the N400 to see what was going on with the I-751. They were the ones that told us it was at the field office. We also received a transfer notice back in March 2019 shortly after submitting the application (like two weeks later) stating it had been transferred to another office for routine processing(I think NBC). However, when we checked the status on the online site, it said it had been sent to the local office.

Depending on your worker they might be able to confirm this. When in doubt, I always ask. The worst they could say is I don't know or I can't help you with that. You're welcome!

Thanks for your response! In an I-751 combo case it makes sense that you're able to dig a little deeper. Good luck!

Hi Everyone, I got an eNotice 2 days ago than my interview is finally schedule. And today I got the date for late October. I am fuming under the 3 year rule for persons married to US citizens. Does anyone know if my spouse is required to attend under the new appointment COVID19 restrictions? I would have to have my husband sit in the car and wait and waste their time and PTO.

 The letter I got states:

“Who should come with you? Only the following people may come with you to your interview:
*If you do not speak English fluently, you should arrange to have an interpreter available by phone. Do not bring an interpreter to the interview. If you need a Sign Language Interpreter or Certified Deaf Interpreter, call the USCIS Contact Center at 1-800-375-5283 as soon as possible.
*Your attorney or authorized representative may come with you to the interview, or be available via phone.
*If you have a disability and have an individual who assists you, that individual may come with you.”

Has anyone gone through the process recently? did USCIS allow your spouse  to attend interview or ceremony?

Hi I am in the same boat. I filed N-400 on Feb 8th while I-751 was pending, and received the N-400 interview notice on Sept 14th with the interview scheduled for Oct 28th. The letter states exactly the same as yours, didn't mention a word if the US spouse should go with me or not.

I was confused because usually the couple has to attend the combo interview for I-751 and N-400 together. Then something magic happened yesterday (10/20), a USCIS officer called my cellphone asking me to bring my husband to the interview and there will be a I-751 interview first and then N-400 after. I can tell she is in the local office reviewing my case and just found out this is a combo case, since my interview is only a week away, she takes a quick move to call me (instead of mailing another notice officially).

So, my suggestion is, bring your lovely US spouse with you to the interview no matter the letter asked or not if you filed N-400 while I-751 was pending, and make sure you bring sufficient documents to support your bona fide marriage in the past two years. Good luck to all of us.

I don't usually write in groups, but regarding USCIS we never have clear information about how the processing time is going even more during this time of covid that everything slowed down.

My USCIS office is West Palm Beach, FL

-I sent my application on February 25/2020
-was received on February 26/2020
-appointment for biometrics on March 17/2020
-7 months of silence from USCIS
- (as a miracle today October 22/2020 ) I receive electronic notification, they have scheduled an interview for naturalization -- I don't know what the date of the interview is, but it is usually 2 or 3 weeks ahead.

I hope my case helps you get a better idea of how the processing times are at the Palm Beach office.

So unfortunately someone deleted our spreadsheet. I am going to assume this was an accident and not done maliciously even though it has gotten ruined multiple times. The instructions very CLEARLY stated to be careful when updating and if you didn't know what you were doing I wish you reached out. Is anyone able to figure out if there is a file saved? This is extremely disappointing especially for those of us still waiting and who have been in this group since February.

If it can be recreated can someone please lock it as well.
