Does an RFIE for I-485 delay the EAD processing ??? loosing  my mind here

I believe processing on EAD/AP is halted if an RFE/RFIE is issued on the underlying I-485, yes.

Our recent EAD took about 200 days

Yes. Until the RFIE has been rectified, all processing for all applications will pause.

Great... I also received an RFE on my I-485. I was hoping since the EAD and AP were somewhat separate, it wouldn't affect his EAD.

I had an RFE that I sent and it is already 2 months of waiting. 

 

Hopefully the case will be approved soon.

They are separate per say, but the eligibility is based on the i485 being approvable.  An RFE puts the approvability into question,  thus the halt

UPDATE: since yesterday my EAD is being produced

 

I had an RFE which the additional documents were received in October.

My husband ended up getting his green card before his EAD. We filed in September, got a RFIE in November, and had the interview in January. Approval a week ago.
