Medical results for interview, who gets them?

Please advise those CR1/IR1 who already went through the interviews. My husband (beneficiary) had his medical exam done and his interview in Paris is scheduled on December 4th. He thought that he is supposed to bring the sealed envelope with the results with him to the Embassy on December 4th. However, the clinic in Lisbon  where he had his exam, says they will send the results directly to Paris to the Embassy and that all they can send to my husband is XRay image and the vaccinations record. Is that true?

The Lisbon clinic knows what the procedure is.

YMMV

According to the U.S. Embassy in Paris website, an applicant is to bring the sealed envelope to the interview.

Really?  Not what I read.  Pay attention to the "or" and the "if"

When your examination is completed, the doctor will give you the exam results in a sealed envelope or send them directly to the U.S. Consulate. IF GIVEN AN ENVELOPE TO CARRY TO YOUR INTERVIEW, DO NOT OPEN THIS ENVELOPE. Instead, bring it to your visa interview.

YMMV

Thank you! My husband had his instructions from the French website of the Embassy, and the red portion is missing there.

I will let him know that he shouldn’t worry.

Hi there. In Buenos Aires they did the same with me, so don't worry.  Probably they have the sa.r procedure there.

By the way, after I have my Visa they didn't give me nothing more than my passport. The CO told me "Everything is online now, you don't need to present nothing else, just passport!". And was like that.

Good luck

Yes and make sure he gets the vaccination record for his own records.  Save it, file it away.

Don't worry, I was told my medical results will be sent electronically to the embassy. They did not ask for the envelope during my interview and everything went smoothly. I imagine this is something new they are doing to reduce paperwork.
