I filed from Detroit and I feel my case is taking forever as well!

The case was updated to show fingerprints were taken  on December 17. No letters or new updates yet.

There won’t be any letters until your interview is scheduled or until they issue your ead/ap card

That’s awesome! One more question... how many days between when you got notice your interview was scheduled and this? I’m hoping I only have another 20 or so days left before I get mine too ;)

73 days since my noa... 41 since finger prints added and 3 days since my interview was scheduled

Could you be a little bit more specific? How did your name change after filing?

These are the regular steps people filing for AOS based on marriage follow:

1) Getting a K1 visa or other visas

2) Getting married

3) Changing maiden name to married name (optional)

4) Filing the AOS with your legal name (married name if point 3 applies)

hey there sorry about that. I am the petitioner and my husband the beneficiary. I am would like to join my name to his post marriage and although I am not awaiting any approvals as a USC I don't want to interfere with his process. Wondering if anyone has done something similar. USC name change post marriage and while in process for the AOS.

Its been 6 days since my Interview is ready to be scheduled. It has not been scheduled yet. Considering that i am in DC, it can take a loong while till I have a date. Maybe thats why my card has been ordered now.   I hope your status will change soon too!
