Hi,

Our I-130 has just been approved, and we attached the form G-1145 - E-Notification of Application/Petition.
But they didn't email us, so do they actually use it to send any instructions ?

Thanks.

The G-1145 is only for electronic notification when your package is initially received at USCIS; nothing more.

So it's not for electronic notification for Noa) NOA1 or approval 2 or anything, only the initial hey we've got it?

Sometimes they'll email you when your case updates if it updates online, but sometimes the case just doesn't update on the website(s) as approved for some reason. My I130 never showed on the websites as approved and only updated on egov.uscis when it was sent to NVC, for some people it does update online and email them though

Too late now, but if you want an email notice for NOA2, you have to sign up for email updates AFTER you get NOA1,
