Not judging,  but I'm pretty sure drinking and driving in CA isn't legal.  I used to have so much more respect for you...

I don't have a car, so don't worry. :) I walked there from the bar and took a Lyft home. Please don't lose any more respect for me, I acted responsibly in the circumstances I think. :P

Oh, ok, as long as you were walking intoxicated or doing so in an uber, all my respect has been restored.  Thank you for being so responsible!

Nah BRUH. :innocent: I was not intoxicated while walking, just a little... merry. Also, I don't recommend shopping while merry at Whole Foods. I ended up with a selection of cheeses, some truffle mousse, a very fragrant bar of soap with dried flowers stuck in it, some gravadlax and a quarter pound of cranberry quinoa salad in addition to the bubbly.

LOL, I looked at it in the hot bar and thought better of it! I make an amazing mac and cheese from scratch, few I have are really much better, if I can brag a little. But I don't make it too often -- all that starch and cheese is delicious but it isn't as good for me as, say, some sauteed brussels sprouts with a small amount of decent bacon.

Now I've gone and made myself hungry again at midnight! Waiting up for my good night call from the UK is tedious. Just another few nights of this.

Honestly, I have never had a homemade mac n cheez that beats Kraft from a box.  And I have tried at home.  The cheese sauce just seems to fall short for some reason.

One of my favorite comfort dishes to make is Bush's Best baked beans with hot dog slices, a box of Kraft mac n cheese.  Then mix and enjoy.  Sounds kinda yucky (my wife didn't even want to try a bite when I made it last week, but she did, and then asked me to serve her a bowl).

You have never had mine! It's different from Velveeta Shells and Cheese (which will always hold a special place in my heart for all the times I ate it in college) but it is very cheesey nonetheless the less. The secret is sodium citrate to make the cheddar or gruyère or whatever smoother, more ooey gooey like Velveeta or American, but with, you know, actual cheese. I also add sauteed onions and occasionally bacon or pancetta. Cheeses I usually mix up, almost always a medium cheddar but I add another one or two to that.
