NVC or Consulate?! CONFUSED!

Hi everyone, I hope you can help!

My fiance and received our I-797 for our K-1 visa, but we're a little unsure of what do next.

The letter states that they are going to forward our information to the consulate here in the UK and I should wait to hear back from them. However, with the research I've done it appears that apparently we hear back from the NVC first, or am I mistaken?

Basically, I'm super confused about who should be expecting what next and whether or not there is anything I can be getting on with in order to prepare ourselves for the next step!

Any and all advice will be greatly appreciated. Thanks in advance!

The file goes through the NVC to be given a case file number then is sent to the Consulate. Once the Consulate has received the file they will email you. This notice will given you specific directions regarding medical exam arrangements, documents required and scheduling the appt.

Thanks for the reply! Should I or my fiance expect a letter from the NVC then? Or should I expect one from just the consulate?

Direct Consular Filing .. you didnt use  it

NVC email should go to the petitioner and the Consulate email to the beneficiary
