From a practical standpoint, it's better to just go along with it. At a checkpoint all they need is "reasonable suspicion" to search, not probable cause. This is a crazy low bar. Courts have upheld being anxious/nervous as reasonable suspicion.

Any LEO can require verification of ID of the driver (and of any passengers in certain states).

Pulling you aside, using a K-9 around your vehicle, etc. is not a pleasant experience. So yeah, you don't have to answer questions or consent to anything, but it's not going to be a good experience either.

The only obligation for the K-1 visa is the marriage ceremony.  You did it, so done deal.  You do not have to submit AOS package within the 90 days of the K-1 visa, but as other say, the sooner the better. My wife and I submitted ours about 4 months after we had gotten married.  Sometimes people wait years to file for AOS.

The only requirement to be eligible to AOS based on the underlying I-129F is the marriage within 90 days of entry.

 

Another obligation of the K-1 visa - like any NIV - is not to violate status, such as by overstaying.

Failure to meet that obligation may or may not result in consequences, depending mostly on if you get caught.

But failure to maintain status won't impact one's eligibility to file for AOS as the spouse of a USC.
