Can I schedule the Intervew without the NOA2?

Approved by USCIS July 18th

We have our NOA1 receipt, but no NOA2 because they forgot to put an APT number on the address.

NVC was contacted and I have Email/Letter from NVC.

We are in READY status.

Waiting another week for Passports to arrive so DS-160 is not complete.

Printed Application Fee Receipts today and will pay the fee today or tomorrow.

Question:

After we pay the fees, can we go ahead and schedule an Interview or do we need to wait for the NOA2 document to arrive in the mail and the DS-160s to be complete?

No you do not need the NOA2 physical paper document to schedule the interview. You must complete the medical before you can interview. The visa validity date (normally 6 months) is tied to the medical exam date. DS-160 must be completed to allow you to schedule the interview date.

I believe you been given Hank's website for all document and steps to take to meet these requirements. If not I'll give them to you. Go to 129f - Scheduling interview tab at the top of the that section.

NOA2 isn't needed for anything in the Philippines for the visa application.

Yes you can schedule your interview,  allow 12-24 hrs after paying at BPI before your payment will show up on your dashboard at that time you will be allowed to schedule your interview.

Email notice isn't the NOA, and yes you will need it for AOS later.

Passports should arrive on the 6th and we will submit the Ds-160's.

Until then, we are working on collecting documents and paying the Application fees.

Thank you all for your input.  It is a big help.
