Travelling from Toronto to Dallas on Sunday. My flight is at 6:35pm. I’m wondering how early I should go since I have the EAD?

First of all you have to have AP, not just EAD to enter the US. So I really hope you have a combo card. Toronto had preclearance so minimum 3 hours. I guess you already know you have to go through US Customs in Toronto. On top of that, Standard procedure for AP is to go to secondary inspection to verify the pending I-485 so it takes 30-60 mins extra on top of the time you normally have to wait.

Sorry, yes, I have the combo card and that’s what I meant to say. Thanks for the info!

Toronto, is very challenging. Long waits unfortunately. We both have Global Entry, but they make you wait

Depends.  In Calgary you cant even enter customs until 2 hours prior to your flight.  But honestly I agree that 3 should work.

Hi, I have a similar question to this regarding what documents i need to reenter the US at JFK when I return from Europe next week. (Haven't left the US yet). I have my combo card, passport and travel documents, do I need to bring the paper I-751 that says AP was approved? or is the Combo card enough?

Yeah, it's valid until June next year - so I'll only need passport and EAD/AP combo card? Will they still need to question me? Thanks!
