  1. Thank you - super helpful! I've informed USCIS of the my move, since it was 9 days ago and I didn't want to be late. I'll check the zip codes, I've only moved 12 miles but it may be different. If I have to wait it's not the end of the world.
  2. File today, then inform USCIS of my moving house tomorrow - that's what you're saying?
  3. Thanks Mike, my move last week was in the same state (still in Ohio), would I need to wait 3 months in the new apartment before I apply for N400 if I inform USCIS of my move today?
  4. Hi everyone, I have a question about moving house and applying for citizenship. Some context: I have had my green card for 3 years (on Feb 6th) and so have been looking into the N400 application. I think I read somewhere that I need to have lived in the state in which I'm applying for a certain amount of time (3 months?), but can't seem to find that info again. We moved from New York to Columbus Ohio at the end of September last year, and I've informed USCIS of that move. We then moved apartments last week, so I have a new address, I haven't informed USCIS of that move yet (out of my in-law's house into our own apartment short term while we look for a house) - this is in the same state. Just asking if I need to apply for citizenship before I then inform USCIS of the move to the apartment, or if I inform them of the move and then will have to wait to apply at this address? Thanks!
