Hello everyone!

I had my interview yesterday and got approved! Yes! I had my biometrics appointment back in January 2020 before the lockdowns and the interview yesterday. Not much have changed in the offices because of COVID, they don't allow you to go in 15 minutes before your scheduled appointment and obviously you need a mask.

For the interview they will tell you in the notice what you need to bring. If your ROC is marriage related, you have to take your spouse and what the officer lady valued the most was: photos together, tax returns filed jointly, joint bank accounts. You don't need to take anything that you've already submitted to them. So I took our apartment lease contract, utility bills, tax return and bank statements from this year only.

She took us to a separate room and interview us together, asked us how we met, how was our wedding, what do we like to do together and just general plans for the future. She was taking notes while we talked. It lasted around 20 minutes. She had our whole case with her which was crazy to see (from K1 to now). She was very nice and told us we were approved right away and the card would come in the mail between 2 weeks and 2 months. She also mentioned I can now apply for citizenship.

My local office was in Portland, Oregon.

Hello VJ members,

So I have my I-751 still pending, no news from USCIS (WAC - Nov 2019 filer), but I was qualified to apply for N400 so I went ahead and submitted the application through my attorney. My attorney made a mistake and sent the application to Lewisville, TX address instead of my Phoenix, AZ address. I am a resident of CA.

Does anyone of you have any idea of what will happen next? It’s been 3 weeks no response from USCIS about my N400 application. Will my N400 will be rejected and returned, and when should I re-apply?

This was the last thing I was expecting from an attorney to do to my application. My attorney has been disappointing.

Thanks!

The N400 online application is very easy, anyone can do it. If you didn’t send certified cash, you could file online incase it got lost.

I second this. We have been waiting for the interview to be scheduled since April 2020. His GC extension letter has March 2021 expiration, so what happens after that? No way to leave the country? Any help is immensely appreciated.

hey guys!

I'm here to share our experience through the interview we file back in 09/16/2019 case was assigned to Nebraska.

I'm the usc wife had conditional card that expired in October 2019. i know we file a little late.

Anyway we got there like 20 min prior the time on the notice, they do al the check in trough a kiosk at the entrance of the office then we went into the waiting room

10 min later the officer came we had a translator for my wife in person she was given a form to fill out and sign due to covid she couldn't be on the same room

with us but she did everything by phone now to the interview.

officer was really friendly and professional , he went trough the i 751 application with us asking basic question like legal names address ssn etc.

he the proceeded to ask personal questions

how we met?

when we met?

how did i propose?

how did we talk to each other?

what was the las movie we saw?

how many people attended or wedding ?

My wife answer most of them he asked if we had any more proof of our marriage to submit i said we had the same documents but they were recent like bank statements and tax transcript

he then told us he was going to recommend for approval and only needed his supervisor green light as well we were done in less than an hour.

the case changed to card being produced a few hours after interview.
