Green Card Fee

I know this will bounce around but I think I have a problem.

While waiting on my wife's SSN and all the green cards I've been trying to figure out ways to track the statuses.  I found my email confirmation of the Green Card fees and I see that the Case Numbers are IOE.  At the time (June) I figured that it was their internal tracking number for the green card as I know I used the correct MNL numbers.  Now I see that IOE is a new service center code.  When I track my case status it is still at "Case sent to State Department".  When I check the IOE case numbers it says "Payment received".

Did I pay three strangers green card fees?  I know this is on their end since I would not have access to those three IOE case numbers.  Any thoughts on how to fix this?

IOE is just the code / prefix for online filing now.

We had IOE with out N400 filed online last year.

Just filed parents IR5 by paper but they scanned it and assigned IOE numbers to both.

IOE are USCIS receipt numbers for e-filed forms.

The MNL number you had before was an DOS case number.

So it sounds like you're good.

...but if you're in the mood to pay other's debts, I am accepting. ;)

It was just strange that the YSC case number doesn't tie to the IOE case number for payment.  I guess I will remain patient but SAVE has no information either.

Unlikely, since you had to use 2 unique identifiers to pay the $220 fee.

That is my thought too.  I guess the fact that we are still waiting on my wife's SSN while both kids got theirs two weeks ago has my on edge too. We are going to SSA today.  SAVE has no open cases and when I track the case on USCIS it is still showing that we were sent to State.

Did you pay all three green card fees separately?    As long as you have receipt for the 3 payments you should be good.

On a related note...we went to SSA today to see why Rose never got her card.  It is because they never processed it through the DS-260 like they did for the kids.

Even though the USCIS is responsible for the petition and for the new immigrant fee and green card process, these are separate processes and the I-130 petition case number is therefore unrelated to what happens after the visa is issued.

When paying the new immigrant fee you're required to input the NVC case number (DOS ID) and alien registration number which is tied back to the specific immigrant, so it's also unlikely you would have paid the fee for the wrong person as it would be difficult to randomly match someone else's a-number to their DOS ID.

USCIS never started the process for Rose like they did the kids.  SSA had no record of an application for Rose.
