Arriving with only one month left on Visa

I stand corrected.  I was thinking in terms of visiting for some reason as some couples visit during the visa process.  I didn’t think in terms of the immigration process.

I would still renew before coming so she’s not in the position of not having valid ID. Until AOS is complete, she won’t be eligible to get local ID, so her passport will be it, and the pre-AOS period is kind of a limbo anyway.

Passport can be renewed at the consulate in the USA ... still a non-issue

It can be done.  I would never consider walking around another country without a passport myself, though.  Or advise anyone else to when they had plenty of time to take care of it before.  Things can go wrong at the worst times.

Huh?    .. you're slipping off the trolly tracks.     As mentioned earlier and never mentioned by the OP .. the passport isn't what he was asking about.   Topic is VISA

I must be sleep deprived.

So how much do VJ moderators charge to go in and change the initial question to replace “visa” with “passport”?  My answers are right, the OP asked the wrong question.  (Tongue in cheek here.  Nothing to do but backpedal here.  My evil twin must have hacked this!)

My fiance's visa expires December 16th. I want to get her ticket for November but we both want to be sure there will be no problem if the travel date is so close to visa expiration. Has there been any problems with this? (From Philippines to U.S)

Nope. I did this and no issues encountered.

My K1 visa was issued August and I entered the country 3rd week of December.

Knowing that I'd be trapped while waiting for EAD/AP, I tried to maximize my freedom and spent as much time possible with family in Philippines.

Pinoy Ako! ^_^
