A piece of advice and a question!

Hi all,

I'm due to fly tomorrow after being granted my K1 visa back in May. For those starting the process I would thoroughly recommend banking with HSBC, as I've managed to set up my US account and have been granted a credit card based on my UK credit history which should make life a little easier when I arrive!

For those that might know - How do you go about filling in the landing card? Does anyone declare values or is there no need?

Thanks,

James

List and value anything new like gifts, sunglasses you bought at the airport, big stash of teabags, etc. Your regular old personal belongings are not to be itemized and valued. My airport CBP officer said write household goods with no value. You are allowed unlimited "household goods" when you immigrate.

Lloyds TSB also offers the same service. I have been banking with them for 25 years and been living in the US for 10 of them. Safe travels.

I have been through the K1 Visa process twice. My first journey began in 2006 & I surrendered my Green Card prior to filling the I-751

*My timeline shows my Visa Journey second time around*

I flew in 4th July, no landing card, you go to the visa/first trip queue and hand over documents. They might ask a couple of the questions. Was easier and quicker coming on in the K-1 than it has been every other trip
