I have received a notice of action saying that my status has been extended for 18 months after I applied for the " removal of conditions I751 form, after acquiring my green card thru marriage. It does not tell to do anything else. I'd like to know what's the next step, should I contact USCIS? Or should I wait for instructions in the mail?

You will be notified by USCIS for the next actions, if any, required.  You should periodically check your online status at USCIS.  People usually receive biometrics letters next (although some don't).....

In summary, it took 13 months for approval of the CR-1.  It took 44 months for approval of the I-751.  It took 4 months for approval of the N-400.   It took 172 days from N-400 application to Oath Ceremony.   It took 6 weeks for Passport, then 7 additional weeks for return of wife's Naturalization Certificate..

As stated above, probably biometrics (or you may get a waiver if they decide to reuse your previous ones - it varies). Once your current GC expires, you'll need to carry the letter with it if you travel.

Just to keep things realistic, it's quite a long process right now.  We filed last year in March and got our new GC's last week. For the most part though, life just goes on and it's a waiting game as with most things USCIS related.

Best of luck :)

We did not. Some people do - it seems most don't but there is always a possibility and if you get called for an interview, it doesn't necessarily mean that there is something wrong.  I think they randomly screen handfuls of applicants for these.

If you follow your notifications on the USCIS website it's worth noting that you don't get a notice if your interview is waived. They simply don't schedule you for one.  For the biometrics, if they choose to reuse the ones they took for your previous application, you do get a notice in the mail about that.

Nope. We had no updates at all.

We filed last year in March. Status went to Case Received.

It didn't change.

We got biometrics waiver letters three times in the mail. Nothing changed on the website.

Then we got a biometrics appointment in the mail a month ago. Still no case update.

We attended biometrics and it went to Fingerprint Review completed.  Stayed like that for a week and then said "Card is Being Produced."

Got my card in the mail last week. NO updates. It still doesn't show a tracking number or even that it was sent.

We did not have an interview.
