Oh for sure, I'll definitely do it, more just really wanted to avoid the hassle of waiting for/tracking another USCIS case...

Status updated to "Interview Scheduled"!! 

 

Any sense of how far in advance DC typically schedules? Want to get a sense of how long I have to pull our documents together/do my medical etc.

 

Also - does anyone have any civil surgeon recommendations?

It's usually 4-5 weeks after the notice, I've got my notice on Feb. 17, my interview is on March, 25th. As for the surgeon, I went to Washington Travel Clinic, it took 20 minutes.

Hey, everyone. April filer here. My interview is on March, 25th but I haven't applied for health insurance. Do they ask about insurance at the Fairfax office? Will it be a big problem during the interview? That's the only thing I'm worrying about. Thanks a lot.

We got asked for a copy of our health insurance policy

I honestly don't remember the name of mine. It was somewhere near DuPont. Certainly wasn't good or cheap though!

That's awesome news - I got my EAD a week after you did. Crossing my fingers that I hear the update soon...

Finally some good news!! The status for my I-765 changed today to "New card is being produced", after 7 months!!

 

How long should normally take to receive it at home?

Congratulations! It is usually about a week to ten days. Mine got lost in the mail (it was right before the election) but finally showed up about 3 weeks after it was mailed.

For anyone who needs their medical/civil surgeon appointment - I went to Dr Emanuel Brown in Rockville - it was $285 for vaccine transcription and bloodwork. Definitely not the cheapest, but it was smooth and easy. I just brought proof of vaccinations for everything I needed (records from my home country plus CVS receipt for Tdap). First visit was blood draw, second visit was very quick physical and then they gave me the sealed I-693 and another copy for my records. I booked through EasyIME and the price they quoted was what I paid.

Hi everybody, my interview was scheduled for March 25th, and today I got a call from an USCIS Officer saying that my interview was rescheduled. At first I was suspicious because they don’t usually call you but 2 minutes after the call I got the update on the Uscis Website.

 

Anyone else got rescheduled?
