Did my interview today....new card is being produced !

Hi all,

 

I had my interview on 02/01, today’s 9th and still no updates. Officer said he didn’t see any issues with our marriage based application and noted all the standard speech about conditional green card. 
How long does it usually take for decision? My case status is still “Interview was scheduled”.. even though the interview took place.

Hey y’all, I just wanted to update my case. My Interview was scheduled on 02/16 and currently waiting for the letter. 
 

my PD Date is: 04/28/20

 

I have one question though, our 2nd year anniversary is in May and probably the interview will be before that, am I right that it would be a Conditional Residence?  Even if it is just 2 months before the 2nd year anniversary?

Yowza! You only filed ~30 days before me!!! Congratulations.

 

I don't know how it works if you delay your interview - presumably if you interviewed 2 months later you might get non-conditional?

If it makes you feel any better, mine took less than the estimated time. About 12 months all in all. That seems to be a common experience for DC. All this is to say, I have no idea what these estimated time ranges actually mean.

Thanks for that data point. Fingers crossed. I'd mainly love to not have to renew my EAD (it runs out end of September) and I feel like I should probably put that in for extension if it gets to end of April and I don't have an interview. I also would just love to not think about this any more for 2yrs

I submitted for my renewal just before my interview. Honestly, I am glad that I did. Technically USCIS has 120 days to provide you with a response after the interview. I would have hated to lose my job due to lack of work authorization while waiting for my green card. Anyway, up to you. Its a short and free form so perhaps just worth doing it?
