Hello ,   my brother just finished his H1 visa interview as visitor . The consular took his passport and no decision is taken.  He  told him  that we gonna reply to you within 2 or 3 days . Is that mean visa approved ?? 

 

Any comments would be highly appreciated

Nothing set in stone until you hear something, but usually a good sign when they keep your passport.

Applied for Naturalization based on 5-year Residency - 96 Days To Complete Citizenship!

July 14, 2017 (Day 00) -  Submitted N400 Application, filed online

July 21, 2017 (Day 07) -  NOA Receipt received in the mail

July 22, 2017 (Day 08) - Biometrics appointment scheduled online, letter mailed out

July 25, 2017 (Day 11) - Biometrics PDF posted online

July 28, 2017 (Day 14) - Biometrics letter received in the mail, appointment for 08/08/17

Aug 08, 2017 (Day 24) - Biometrics (fingerprinting) completed

Aug 14, 2017 (Day 30) - Online EGOV status shows "Interview Scheduled, will mail appointment letter"

Aug 16, 2017 (Day 32) - Online MYUSCIS status shows "Interview Scheduled, read the letter we mailed you..."

Aug 17, 2017 (Day 33) - Interview Appointment Letter PDF posted online---GOT AN INTERVIEW DATE!!!

Aug 21, 2017 (Day 37) - Interview Appointment Letter received in the mail, appointment for 09/27/17

Thank i guys.  He has rejected 3 times before.  But this time the consular told him everything with paper is ok . But the weird thing is when I double check the status online . it says Refused and the last updated time is May 5th . We are at may 28th . Is that weird?

While retaining the passport is generally a positive, there have been instances of passports being returned without a visa and accompanying an explanation. 

I-751 journey

 

10/16/2017.......... ROC package mailed

10/18/2017.......... I-751 package received VSC

10/19/2017.......... I-797 NOA date

10/30/2017.......... Notice received in mail

10/30/2017.......... Check cashed

11/02/2017.......... Conditional GC expired

11/22/2017.......... Biometrics completed

  xx/xx/xxxx.......... waiting waiting waiting

Hello guys , 

 

The pervious case number was the old one . I just double check my visa status online by putting the new case number . It says " Application Recieved " . What paper? 

B1 usually doesn't require any papers, only the ds160 and interview.

What sort of business is he in? Tend to think of IT but that may be a stereotype. I would imagine the standing of the Employer makes a difference.

Right so far we have a case that could be either you or your brother, and could be either a B1 or H1.  Any more possibilities coming?

B1 in lieu of H1b?
