Thanks! He is divorced so do we bring just his divorce records, or do we need to hunt down the marriage certificate as well? I have never been married.

I'm sorry I really don't know for sure. I would say bring it. (More info doesn't hurt)

Hello! Sorry if this is a stupid question but I'm having a hard time narrowing it down within the onslaught of information. I (the beneficiary) changed addresses between the NOA1 & NOA2.  What's the best way to update? I can only find where to update petitioner's address. Thanks in advance!

Hi! I renewed my passport between NOA1 and still waiting on NOA2, but I called uscis and they told me to have my beneficiary send a letter with our case number and the updated information.

Hey!

We got our NOA 2 on May 14th 2019, and since then I haven't received any new information. I am not sure how to go about finding where our file is and whether or not the consulate in Montreal has received it. My fiancé has emailed NVC already but we haven't had a reply yet. Getting worried because it has been more than 30 days and we have had no new information.

Thanks all for the help in advance, all the information here is so incredibly helpful in this stressful process.

Hey everyone! My case got to Montreal on the 30th of May! Then I got a case update on June 6th!

I sent my p3 in yesterday, June 10th!

Waiting for p4 right now, was hoping it would come today! :)

No p3 in the mail yet though!

I look forward to hopefully booking for August 7th! :)

Hey, congratulations! This might be a dumb question but how did you track your case?

All the waiting is so frustrating! You should definitely try calling the NVC - I tried emailing as well but didn't get a response for over two weeks. Try calling at 9am Eastern time so you won't be on hold too long and have your USCIS Case ID ready. The fellow I talked to was super friendly and will let you know when they received it your case which I'm sure they have, your case ID, and when it will be sent to the consulate or if it already has. The NVC number is 1-603-334-0700 :) Once your have your case ID, you can then track the status on https://ceac.state.gov/CEACStatTracker/Status.aspx?eQs=WwjqOlbeRYzCYubaSQI+RA== Hopefully that link works!

Thank you so much!!! We are going to do this early tomorrow (Friday) morning and I see a lot of people have similar timelines so I will definitely update mine as well. Thanks again!

0700 number is always busy. Call (603) 334-0888 instead.

Thank you guys! So, funny story... my fiancé ended up finally calling today, was on hold for 40 minutes and they told him that the case was in transit to the Montreal consulate. Then he got an email four hours later saying the same thing 😂. Waiting game continues, but at least now we know!

Oh yay! That's awesome! Really glad things are progressing. Have you had a chance to collect all your documents for P3?

From what I know we don't have to submit the documents until the actual interview. I have everything except for the I-134 & supporting documents and letter of intent within 30 days of the interview. I've filled out my DS-160 and I have it ready to submit so I can send in the confirmation with the P3 and passport bio page when they receive my package in Montreal. There's a long weekend coming up, so that'll probably cause some delay.

Begin to add your new address to the forms you are about to complete. Beneficiary doesn't update addresses till at the interview where it is needed for the delivery of the passport with Visa.

For those of you that have already submitted your P3s, did you wait for a second "ready" so email it to the consulate? If so, did they send you back a P4 the first time? My first "ready" was on June 27th, but I think with all the Holidays there might be a bit of a delay :(

Did you get your P3 already? I only got the notice from the NVC that it has forwarded the case to the consulate in MTL but nothing from MTL yet...
