AP is really killing is. All the responses to our emails has been to keep waiting even tho the visa was originally approved during the interview. Has anyone been through this? It's been more than 60 days now 😔

A verbal approval is not a final decision. Denials can happen during AP, just saying,.

AP is open ended, there is no timeline for it. It can't be bypassed or expedited. The embassy has to finish their checks/verification of things.

Everyone goes through AP. Can be 2-3 days, 2-3 weeks, 2-3 months, even 1-2+ years. Couple members on here recently had hit 18+ months in AP so.

The USC can ask their representative/congress person to make an inquiry, but they can't make the embassy make a decision or anything, all they can do is "nudge" the embassy a bit, but that's all.

Thanks for your input. We are just very worried because we have no clue what's going on.

Please don't be angry why where you placed on AP

We were not told why. We were just told we are in AP and the embassy has not requested for anymore documents or information

I don’t know why people think the Lagos embassy is so difficult, it’s really not. As long as your case was well put together you all should be fine. You never know when you will be placed in extended AP, though. I wish you all the best.
