Hi everyone. First I want to apologise if this topic has been discussed a lot. I found topics on renewing EADs but didn't find much on expired EADs

Anyways my wife's EAD card expired in February of this year and we didn't catch it. Now we want to renew it. Is it the same process of of filling out the form I765? Are there any fees associated with this? Thank you!

Yes, same process, regardless of expiry status, just check on renewal option and include a copy of the current EAD. No fees with pending i485. Include a copy of i485 receipt notice.

Thank you for your response. since my wife got her green card already which expires March 2020, does that mean we will have to pay a fee since the i485 is not pending?

Really? I may be confused. She got her Permanent Resident card and that expires March 2020. The EAD card expired February 2019. She doesn't need to renew the EAD card since she has a permanent resident card ? I assumed a permanent resident card is the green card.

Yes, PR Card is the GC which allows one to live and work in the US. EAD is out of the picture once you have the GC. All you and your wife need to worry about is i-751 later on if it is a 2 year GC.

You don't need EAD or AP once you are approved for the GC.

Yeah just like what @arken said, your wife doesn’t need the EAD

Great, thank you everyone! That helped clear it all up. I got worried there for a minute because of the expiration. But this certainly makes things much easier

So then I will just worry about her 2 year green card which arken said I can take care of with the I751

You will file for ROC roughly 90 days before her 2 year green card expires. You will then get the NOA1 which will extend her GC for 18 months until the 10 year GC is approved.
