Yes.  With AP you can leave before getting your green card and come back to the US to continue it.  If you leave without AP during the process of getting your green card, you will not be allowed back into the US and the process will automatically end.

You need to have possession of the AP card when you leave the US.  You can not have it mailed to you after you leave.

Yes, once you have an approved Advance Parole document (after approval of the I-131)....Right now, it takes about 4-6 months.....after filing.

Thank you, on the I-131 it asks for intended countries to visit should i just put the UK or are you also allowed to take vacation on AP? It also asks for dates to visit, I am unsure of this as of yet, do i need to give a date?

Thanks for your help

If you don't have set plans then the answer is "unknown" or "to be determined".

YMMV

My understanding is that you do NOT need to since it is for deferred action only....like DACA.

The first sentence on the worksheet identifies who are required to submit it.

YMMV

The problem I have with the Visa Journey checklist  (https://www.visajourney.com/content/k1k3aos) is that it looks like one big application.  There are three separate applications to file that get mailed off in the same envelope. The second two are optional, but free when filed with the AOS, and useful.

I 485 Adjustment of Status

Evidence ncludes items #3-11 of the checklist

I-765 Employment Authorization document

Has it's own evidence so repeats some from AOS 4, 4a, maybe 6, 9

I-131 Advance Parole travel document

Has it's own evidence so repeats some from AOS 4, 4a, 6, 9
