Can you give a specific example of this or is it just a bunch of virtue signaling rhetoric?

Charlottesville 2018: There are fine people on both sides. 

New Zeeland 2019: There's not an increase in white supremacy around the world. 

 

Meanwhile: increase of racist/nazi political power in Europe (Denmark, Sweden, Germany etc),  Neonazis are getting braver around Europe and in the US and is coming out of hiding and doing stupid. According to the FBI, there was a 17% increase in hate crimes in 2017. 

 

And I am NOT saying that he is supporting white supremacy and I am NOT saying this is his fault... But he needs to stand up against white supremacy and let those idiots know this is not okay. Not his lame "please stop" after Charlottesville. He needs to really put his foot down. Same as the politicians need to do something about what is going on in their individual countries in Europe. But denying that there is even a problem is not good.

You mean the way Obama did after the Ferguson riots?  Or his "response" to the Trayvon Martin shooting?

 

I don't think Trump denouncing ANY issue such as white nationalism or racism or radical Islam would make any difference in the minds of the people who support such, and it would only make us "normal" folk feel like he's on our side.

Well not exactly. The symbol existed before then. It is perfect though. Fascists use the symbol, are photographed using, but then claim it is not really what you think. This allows them to both troll the left, by saying the left are just being paranoid, and it gives them a certain level of deniability.
