How close to the 6 month mark are you? You could always go to Europe just for a few days/week to get married. You’d have to look into different European countries and their marriage laws. I know the uk is a no go. It’s difficult to get married there, especially in a short amount of time, but other European countries might be different. If you’re really concerned about abandoning your status you could always wait until next year to get married. Even if you wait a year to do it it would still probably be faster than waiting for citizenship and then applying for her afterwards. If she were to go to Canada, you’d still have to leave the country and it would still count towards your continuous recidency. Like others have stated, the F-1 is probably not going to work. It seems like the best option in the short term is for her to go as a visitor or student to Canada and I'd visit every couple of weeks until she can come here permanently.

May want to look into these:

1. The frequency of your visits 'every couple of weeks" could potentially be seen as an issue to Canada and CBP. 

2. How long could she continuously 'visit' in Canada on an eTA?  English deficiency could be an issue for a student visa.

A Canadian eTA asks if you have ever been denied a visa or entry anywhere else. When she answers truthfully, they may decide she needs a visa after all. Just an FYI.

I don't believe that will be the case for me. I have barely traveled outside of the US in the last 5 years other than this recent 5-month trip. I have plenty of time left as far as physical presence goes (half of a 5 year period).

 

As far as continuous residence goes, I've never had a 6+ months trip and if she stays in Canada I believe I can go there every couple of weeks: eg. 2 weeks in the US, 1 week in Canada multiple times.

I think you must have a very flexible job to allow you a third of your time out the country!

The trickier part will be keeping your gf in Canada for any length of time.

Job and money are of no concern for me.

 

As far as her stay in Canada goes, I think time will tell. Her going there for 3-6 months at first seeing if she likes it is a start. If she does, she can try to go to college there.

 

Her previous denials of the US B2 were based on me being her boyfriend in the US - for obvious reasons. So, I hope Canada won't be giving such problems, since I have nothing to do with that country

Um.. ok. Could be an interesting discussion at the embassy/border when they ask her why she’s visiting! Good luck with it all, and remember many people here have survived long distance relationships.

Doesnt matter? She still needs to show ties to her country. And Canada also requires visas from foreign students.. 

 

You clearly want to eat the cake and have the cake. This is not how it works.
