I'm from Nigeria. I was able to chat with someone from Nov 2017 who got theirs in 2018 and they said i should wait till i get P3. Before i can proceed.

Hi guys!, so anyone see a problem in the next situation? I'm the beneficiary and my current passport will be expired this next July, which I'll renew before that, but the thing is our k1 is submitted with the current one,  even our ds160 is with that one. We'll probably get an interview date after July, Mexico consulate is taking that long (4.5 months). 

So will it be a problem to bring a new one when the interview is coming? Obviously I would bring the expired too.

Just an update for anyone else who has not received their case number yet. 

 

My fiancée called NVC and we've been assigned a case number on the 2nd of April. Our Noa2 is 15th March, so if you're around the same date, it's worth to drop them a call soon! 😊

You don't want the visa to be attached to a expiring passport. Get it renewed ASAP! Bring the new to the interview and give to the CO and you'll be fine.

I must renew it anyways. My concerned is, if there is a problem all my k1 process is submitted with the passport is about to expire?

Yes. If you have an expiring passport and you present a new one at the interview you will not have a problem. This is done all the time. No problem. Yes you can bring the new one. Yes using the old one till the new one arrives is ok. What you don't want to happen is they approve you and they put the visa in the "old" passport. So yes it will be fine. BTW it will be fine if you present the new passport at the interview.

Hi!! Newbie here! I just want to ask something. We received our noa 2 march 11. March 30 my fiance call the NVC to ask about our case number. They already give us our MNL case number and invoice id. # but NVC are not yet sending us a hard copy. I check the status of my case and it appears that "AT NVC" is this mean they are not yet sending it to the embassy here in manila? Can i already have my CFO or schedule my medical even i don't have yet the hard copy of NVC Letter/email? Thank You!!

Im wondering also about that. We already have our MNL case number but don't receive any email or letter yet from NVC. we've got to know our casw number when my fiancé call the NVC and ask about it.

Have been following this thread for few days but I can't remember where did it read this, forgive me if I repeat the question of someone. Well I received my case number 2 days back, the status now is still at NVC. I have requested for the police certificate, however I am not quite sure when should I start with the medical check and etc... I also realized the interview in Abu Dhabi can be schedule 2 days in advance, which sound good to me. Thanks guys for any advice 👍

Hello Kabayan  Now that you have you MNL Case number please check your status at CEAC.STATE.GOV Status are AT NVC, IN TRANSIT , READY ... At NVC please wait a couple of days be patient , IN Transit means your case and files ready to forward at Us Embassy Consulate , READY means your case is already for scheduling an appointment for interview USEM , but first of all go to USTRAVELDOCS.com to register and get your MRV and you are now ready to pay your visa fee at any BPI Branch nearest you. after paying (Get your MRV slip, the receipt and keep it ) then you are now going to schedule your interview just look at ustraveldocs.com.. after your scheduled date now you need to register at ST. Lukes Medical Extension Ermita, Manila .. Pls be advice schedule medical atleast 2 weeks before interview.. GoodLuck and God Bless ... Hope i can help ..  

 

Take note .. Things you must bring to medical ,

1.) Original and Photocopy of your Passport 

2.)copy of NVC Letter MNL Case Number

3.)Interview Appointment ,

4.) St. Lukes Medical Registration Appointment 

5.) 4 Pieces of your 2x2 Coloured,Clear and Close Neck Picture to avoid problem
