Have any of you gotten biometrics appointment letter from SRC? My husband applied in July. We got the NOA fairly quickly and it was dated 7-19. Haven't heard a thing since then. Someone had posted in another thread SRC is taking a long time to send out Biometrics appointments.

Hello All

I checked my case status and got this

On March 24, 2020, we ordered your new card for Receipt Number SRC199017****, and will mail it to the address you gave us. If you move, go to www.uscis.gov/addresschange to give us your new mailing address.

I hope all of you see this soon as well. It has been exceptionally slow going for us.

I also wish I could thank the USCIS official working during Covid-19 .

01/09/2019  Mailed ROC package via FEDEX to Lewisville,Texas

01/11/2019  Package delivered to USCIS office

01/16/2019  Received text message with service center as SRC

01/17/2019  Status on https://myaccount.uscis.dhs.gov/ as accepted. Check submitted electronically to my bank. Not cashed yet.

01/18/2019  Check cashed electronically.

02/07/2019  Called USCIS regarding non delivery of receipt . They asked me to call back after 30 days have expired since delivery

02/11/2019  Called USCIS again regarding non delivery of receipt. Mentioned that license will expire along with greencard on 02/28.

The lady filed a request on my behalf so i could schedule infopass.

                        I separately also filed e-request(https://egov.uscis.gov/e-request/displayNDNForm.do?entryPoint=init&sroPageType=ndn

by choosing I-751 and other option , before calling USCIS just in case.

02/13/2019 Got callback from USCIS that infopass cannot be scheduled, but they will mail

                       a duplicate notice.

11/08/2019 Biometrics got completed

03/24/2020 Case status got changed to card being produced

So I researched cases that are few thousand numbers before me ...case numbers that start with SRC

About 15 or so cases out of the 100 to 150 cases I checked, get transferred to the local office within a month of receipt.

The rest rot while waiting to be touched. Cases filed from October 2018 to October 2019 are getting approved. So there is no order to the approvals at all.

Last case to be moved to local office had the same received date as mine - March 11th 2020. So I am assuming I am not one of those cases for now.

There is one peculiar case that has its fee waived and got approved in a month. I assume this may be abuse waiver with extreme hardship expedite criteria. Only those cases typically get such a fast approval.

My timeline:

03/09/2020 - ROC Window opens; Package mailed via USPS

03/11/2020 - Package delivered, NoA I-797 Received date, Receipt starts with SRC (Texas Service Center)

03/13/2020 - NoA I-797 Notice date

03/20/2020 - NoA I-797 received in the mail

Big Congrats to you, . I sent mine on September 11, 2019. Do you have an idea when they may get to that date batch?

Frankly , I have not done a proper analysis. However, based on my perusal of visajourney forums, i would say that it will still take 6-7 months to reach you.Currently, i see people from oct 2019- march 2019 being approved in SRC.

However, i have had people 2 numbers behind and ahead of me getting approved in December . So, i think it is case by case basis and which officer ends up with your file.

Some people around my timeline have applied for N-400 and they have already got interviews lined up for that. So , if you are in a hurry, you can go with that option whenever your window opens.

Good luck!
