Affidavit of Support Confusion

I am the beneficiary and my fiancée has lived with me here in Ireland for the past two years so she has had no income in the US and won't start a job there till both move back together. Her job prior to moving here was very low paying. 

 

I am just confused about how the affidavit of Support will work because of this situation... Can anyone share some advice please?

She has a couple of options:

 

1.  Find a joint sponsor in the US who has enough documented income to satisfy the consulate officer.

2.  Move back to the US alone, get a job which generates enough income.

How do you both expect to afford living in the US?  If you enter the US via a K-1 visa, you will not be able to work for 4 to 6 months.....at minimum.

Have you considered going the CR-1 route instead of K-1?  

Every couple has their own priorities, and each couple must decide which visa is better for their situation.

K-1
    Slightly faster arrival in the US (currently about 3 months sooner)    
    More expensive than CR-1    
    Requires Adjustment of Status after marriage (expensive and requires a lot of paperwork)    
    Spouse can not leave the US until she/he receives approved Advance Parole (approx 5-6 months)    
    Spouse can not work until she/he receives EAD (approx 5-6 months)    
    Some people have had problems with driver licenses, Social Security cards, leases, bank account during this period    
    Spouse will not receive Green Card for many months after Adjustment of Status is filed.

    Less expensive than K-1    
    No Adjustment of Status(I-485, I-131, I-765) required.    
    Spouse can immediately travel outside the US    
    Spouse is authorized to work immediately upon arrival.    
    Spouse receives Social Security Card and Green Card within 2 or 3 weeks after entering the US    
    Opening a bank account, getting a driver's license, etc. are very easily accomplished with GC, SS card, and passport.

    Spouse has legal permanent Resident status IMMEDIATELY upon entry to US.

Also make sure she has filed with the IRS in the US about income abroad, even if technically not making enough to have to file still needs to stay current with them.

We have no problem getting a co sponsor but will she still need to provide some kind of tax statement even though he last one would be from over 2 years ago?

I am aware of that, and for that reason, we have saved a lot of money and plan on staying with her parents for awhile. Also she may be able to have a job lined up before we get there.

I did weigh up both routes last year and the K1 just seemed to suit us better. And as mention, we just got NOA2 last week.
