Hello. Any update on filing as married jointly on your tax while your wife is still in the Philippines? Thank you. Still trying to figure this out.

I have already filed. Waiting on them to send her passport back.

So is it better to file jointly even your spouse is in the Philippines? My husband says we file separately as married because they will need SS# from me which I don't have. I'm confused. We still haven't sent our I-130 because we're still organizing everything.

Oh, and your NOA2 was fast. How come it only took a few months? Did you expedite it? Thank you.

We just got lucky.  There was no expedite.

You can only get an ITIN if you are not eligible for SSN.  My wife is in the Philippines and we have already files MFJ.

Is this true? I have added 4-5 pages of chats per month from the last two years. Should we remove a few?

Definitely.  The easy way is to just include every third or fourth month or us logs instead of chats.  The concept is to show "EXAMPLES" of how and how frequently you communicate, not what you say when you do.
