Hi, I am a permanent resident here and wanted to bring my mom this year from Philippines on a tourist visa. I just wanted to know the step by step procedure, the documents needed, possible interview questions, possible reasons for denial (so we can avoid). Thank you in advance for your inputs.

Step 1. You don't bring anyone on tourist visa.

Step 2. Your mom checks your local embassy website and follow steps there. All info will be in your embassy website.

No one can bring or sponsor a person for a tourist visa.

Your mother will need to file an DS-160 non-immigrant visa application and interview.

The US Embassy will look at her ties to home to overcome the presumption that she intends to immigrate.  You are a tie to the US, not home.  She needs to show her reasons for going home after a visit.

Step 1: Complete the DS-160 & schedule the interview.

Step 2: Interview

You have no role in the process, except walking her through how to do the above.
