My husband is coming to live permanently in the US and I brought a one way ticket with Jet Blue but now I’m hearing that since he is coming on a visa that I should have brought a round trip but since in the system CBP would that he has a green card....... POE will be Fort Lauderdale.......Should I be worried???

I just flew my fiance on Jet blue from the Dominican Republic on a one way  ticket with no issues. He should be fine.

You're confusing this with the requirement for a tourist visa.

I-751 journey

10/16/2017.......... ROC package mailed

10/18/2017.......... I-751 package received VSC

10/19/2017.......... I-797 NOA date

10/30/2017.......... Notice received in mail

10/30/2017.......... Check cashed

11/02/2017.......... Conditional GC expired

11/22/2017.......... Biometrics completed

  xx/xx/xxxx.......... waiting waiting waiting

No I wasn’t because a mutual friend of my parents had problems with CBP and she And her husband had applied for CR 1 because of not having return ticket so that didn’t make any sense to me.... I thought it was for people with tourist visa....Thank you

Why would he need round trip tickets when he's entering with an immigrant visa?

That is what I was thinking too... it didn’t make any sense to me either

Eh, I wouldn't worry about it. CBP agents aren't perfect.

I think there may have been some kind of misunderstanding with your parents’ friend. (Assuming the friend had a cr1 in hand and wasn’t trying to enter on a b and then adjust)

anyway we came in on one way tickets on immigrant visas.

point of fact that may surprise people, return ticket is required to enter with visa waiver program but not actually technically required for B visa. Of course, it’s probably very hard to convince a CBP officer of your intention to leave without one.
