My spouse had an interview in Casablanca, Morocco taken place on Monday 9/24, but unfortunately she was asked to provide I-864 joint sponsor i dont why they asked her for it because  my income is 20.865 i think its ok or  maybe my new born baby  add family number im not sure because they asked her in her interview if she have kids. This document was not required when I submitted the documents to NVC since I'm sponsoring my spouse, that time my wife was not pregnant when i applayed first time
Not sure if that was because of our first born child abroad in Morocco,
Now my Brothers mother in law will be a joint sponsor for my wife. She is retired and receives social security and money from her investments. How much does she need to show and how does she go about doing so since she does not have w2 to show income. also her taxes dont show income.
Any explanation regarding this matter will be very appreciated, thanks

You have a household of 3.  $20,865 is not enough to meet the 125% poverty line for a household of 3.  This is why you need a Joint Sponsor.

How much your brother's MIL needs to show depends on her household size and her income and assets.

The minimum income levels are here: https://www.uscis.gov/i-864p

Your household size is 3.

Why not? If she makes enough to be a sponsor, then she makes enough to be required to file taxes.

Edit: Unless she can use assets in lieu of income. Assets would need to be 5x the income level / income level gap.

If it's just her, then that's a household size of 2 (the person being sponsored has to be counted). The minimum level of income in the continental US is $20,575. If using only assets, this would be 5x that: $102,875. Keep in mind this is a minimum to qualify as a joint sponsor...the CO will look at the totality of the circumstances to address the public charge. They may or may not want to see a higher income level. Casablanca is a very difficult embassy normally, but I'm not sure how that transitions to the public charge issue. I have seen a number of people on VJ report being refused while being borderline above the minimum, but I have no idea if that's common or they are the exceptions to the norm.

If i understood that right, your wife is gonna be bringing your child with her, which means youre supposed to sponsor your wife AND your baby.

That means you need to sponsor an household of 3 people which makes you need to make over $25,975. With the amount you make you can only sponsor your wife and yourself without the baby, thats why they want you to have a joint sponsor.

Maybe you should also fill out your timeline and your country and US state so people can help you better!

yes you have to include dependent children. heck, a baby would cost mor ethan my 12 year old in terms of weekly expenses!

your co sponsor must meet the minimum income amounts for their family + the immigrant. It must be supported by tax transcripts or pay stubs.
