I assume the petitioner receives letter from NVC, does the beneficiary need to have it for medical or interview? A bit confused what confirmation the beneficiary should be having in London attending both.

 

Anyone has an example of how certified translation letters look like? Any samples of signed statement confirming that the translation is accurate here on VJ?

 

I got my NOA2 14th November and called the NVC the other day, they said they had received our case on 26th but no case number yet

They may have received, perhaps it’s just that they haven’t assigned the case number yet, NVC has revived my case but I get the same message. I think the USCIS number doesn’t work on there should be the NVC number instead.

hi you can call again after 2 weeks from the date they received it and check if they assigned the case num. mine i received it after 12 days

Hi there! We got our case number from NVC. I am in South Africa, can I schedule an appointment so long at the embassy, or for my medical?

 

What can we do while we wait for it to be sent to the South African embassy?

Try using "immigrant" and not "non-immigrant" and see if you get a different result. I am sure you will but will see.

Call NVC around 12/11-13 as most of the case assignments will appear then as the following week the cases will be shipped out in bulk.

Yes you can call now as enough time has past since your NOA2 giving NVC the allotted time they needed.

It is rare now a day to hear that a "single" case file is shipped out. Many are bulk shipped every other week. Next shipment will leave on 12/11-12. The best insurance is to check your case number at ceac.state.gov and use the "immigrant" visa and your case number. If it says "in transit" then you are good to go but if it doesn't then you will need to wait. In the meantime, if I have not shared "what next" information for the interview at USEM I will list it for your use. The PI sub-forum link is in the post and I recommend that you spend some time their reading some of the "history" to bring you up to speed. Also, lots of good folks there ready to help with your questions. Asking here about PI requirements probably won't give you what USEM expects. Just saying.

@Greenbaumis there any other way to know if thye’ve Assigned a case number, it’s been 25 days since our NOA2, we rang twice but didn’t get any considerable answer. Haven’t got any email from them since them letting us know that they received our file.

You can send an email at askNVC.gov, call or wait for the email/mail approval. Those are your only options.
