Hi

i went through a company for my visa geeen card but they don’t have a contact number, won’t reply to email and I never got an application number? I’m just worried that if I do it by myself it will become a double up??? I applied 2 weeks ago. Surely it would of been sent to me now?

usa green card.org was what I used.

Hi, unfortunately this is why the state department constantly warns against people using third parties rather than doing the entry themselves. Yes if you submit another entry of course it will be counted as a duplicate and you’ll be disqualified. All you can do is hope that they respond eventually, maybe they’re just busy right now (be warned some companies keep the confirmation number and only contact you if you get selected to try get more money out of you before releasing your number, I don’t know if the one you chose is one of those), and next year please enter yourself.... it’s very straightforward and there is no need to pay someone just to fill in the answers you tell them to.

Why would you use a company for something you can do yourself for no cost? Unless you have money to burn...

You never received (and probably won’t) the application number because this is how these companies scam people. They will ask for money in order to give you the confirmation number.

The application number shows up as soon as the application is submitted .

The application itself only has a couple questions and should take 15 min tops to answer. There are translated instructions on the official website. Next year submit the application yourself and don’t turn to any company, because they will just take your money for filling in your name, address and all the stuff that you can fill in yourself .

Dont’t send the application again, it will automatically disqualify you.

When it’s time to check if you won or not, you can put that you forgot your number and go from there.

Hopefully everything works out, but good luck next year !

A quick google search shows reports/user reviews of many people being scammed by them in the past, as well as complaints of them using applicant credit card information fraudulently.

Thanks for all your replies. The company came  back to me & said my photo wasn't accepted. Should I take this as my application will not be sent through if I don't send one back?? IF so then I can just do it myself and it wont  be a double up?? Appreciate the help

If they have confirmed that they could not submit an application for you, instruct them to abandon any further applications and do it yourself.

IF they didn't send your application you can do it yourself. Make sure they won't submit any applications on your behalf anymore. However, if they did send it, you can't send another application until next year.
