Hello. My fiance and I were gathering all the necessary documents and getting ready to file the i129f packet Last Aug to officially start our K1 journey but we have read somewhere that you need to use the latest i129f form when filing. The latest one they have on the uscis website expired last Aug 31, 2018 and so we thought we should just wait for the new edition of i129f form to be released and just focus more on working on the intent letter and other docs. But it's been more than a month now and they haven't released anything yet. I was reading through the forums earlier and I saw people posting about how they are about to file for the i129f packet this week so I'm kinda confused now, how come they're filing this week when the new i129f form hasn't been released? Please help!

The one you have, the 4/10/2017 edition is the latest, even though it's past its expiration date. USCIS tells us a new edition is coming, and to keep using this one. Best of Luck on your journey!!!

That's the Office of Management and Budget (OMB) expiration date. USCIS accepts forms based on the Edition Date in the lower left corner, which is when the form was approved/release/whatever, not an expiration.

Oh ok. Thanks for the response. Makes sense now, so checking the edition date on the bottom of the form is just for us to make sure we have the LATEST edition, I thought it meant an UNEXPIRED form.

Thank you guys. I really just kinda get paranoid with this whole process and we can't afford any mistake since I heard they don't issue an RFE anymore, it's going to be a denial right away.
