A few more Sept 2018 approvals from Nebraska popping up here and there! Exciting!

Our case status was updated to RFE was sent on Aug 2nd 

We did not receive that yet in the mail but I'm thinking probably within the next two days.

I'm disappointed we got an RFE but we do have a lot more evidence now than when we filed in October so it shouldn't be an issue at all.

I'll start prepping some docs then see what else they requested when the mail comes.

We're getting an RFE too. ugh. 

 

Anyone else have experience with the, wanting additional information?  What kinds of additional information should we send?  We have a child together.  Along with our daughter's information and family pictures throughout the past 3 years, I hoped that would be sufficient, I guess its not.

Looks like they started working on the October fillers.

 

Hopefully we can see some approvals fast.

I hope those RFE are not very comprehensive! I am not sure how it works, but I think the letter should detail what USCIS is missing or what they need. Let us know what the letters say and how that goes! Do you have a specific deadline?

I will!  We dont have the letter yet, just an email update that says they have sent us the RFE. 

 

My guess, in my case, is proof of financial co-mingling. I bought our house and set up utilities and everything, and had a vehicle, before he arrived, so all of that is just in my name, therefore I didn't turn in that kind of stuff. I'm going to write a letter explaining that situation.  The mortgage even still has my previous last name so its not even technically in my name!  My banker said it wasn't worth it to change it.  

 

I also didn't include tax returns and stuff.  Idk, I just wasn't thinking about that kind of stuff. I guess I was in a hurry and figured having a child together and proof of actually living a life as a family would be sufficient.

I hope we don’t get an RFE. We sent in a decent amount of financial/property mingling info (taxes, joint checking accounts, joint credit cards, leases, rental insurance, cell phone bills, etc). Being a younger couple we just don’t have as much to mingle as some others might. I really don’t know what else I would possibly submit!

Congratulations!!! I definitely started following the September filers thread and have been watching you guys for updates haha. Great news!!

Hello,

 

I just want to share few things. I have received bio letter for the appointment early last month. Which was one day exactly before our already scheduled vacation. So I have decided to go one day early, but was turned around because the office does not do walk ins. Ok. So they told me I have to reschedule it or come back a day later and they will honor my appointment written on the letter. So I did that. I went again next day. It was short and normal. Good experience.

Well the reason I am writing this is that now on my USCIS account I see that my bio was done twice.  The day I have tried walk in and then it is showing second time again. The day of my actual bio. Just with different date. Two reviews completed with 2 dates.

Conclusion:

1) maybe it is a glitch. Maybe the system somehow knew Ill be there a day early.

2) maybe they have a face recognition camera inside. Same like airports, casinos and more.

3) maybe my GC has a chip in it and after the entering their office it took my info from it.

 

And then it automatically uploaded the info into the system that the bio was done. Even it was not.

 

I just want to say that first time they did not ask me about my ID, Passport, GC , fingerprints, name ,....nothing. They just told me you have to come back, we don`t do walk in app.

Coming back from vacation with the 18 mo letter was not a problem. It took the BPO only few more minutes to go over the letter. My wife and my kids have  US passports so they had to wait a bit...:-)

Most likely a glitch. I have the same thing. Fingerprint Review Was Completed on the day I had the bio and the following date it updated again with the same status but the day was different. I have seen multiple people here on VJ saying the website shows 2 dates for fingeprint review was completed.

Did u have to do the biometrics twice?I did mine last year

I used to get that error message in the beginning but then it stopped. I think the error just means they didn't update the tracking system with the number yet but if you filed in October it should be there I'd think.

Try signing up for an account instead because you can track it that way sooner I believe.
