Yep, looks like the LIN Batch Oct '18 are getting Biometrics appointments.  Also got my NOA yesterday.  Scheduled for 7/1.  No status update on MyUSCIS account.  Let's just hope we won't wait much longer for the approval after our bio appointments (fingers crossed)!

AOS, EAD, AP

06/18/2016 - I-130, AOS, EAD, AP sent to Chicago Lockbox

06/20/2016 - Package received

06/30/2016 - (4) Text notifications received; online status available

07/03/2016 - (4) NOA1s received w/ notice date of 06/29/16

07/11/2016 - Biometrics appointment notice received (appointment date: 07/18/2016)

07/18/2016 - Done with biometrics in 15-20mins.

08/03/2016 - Received text message that I-485 online status changed (RFIE received)

08/08/2016 - RFIE (yellow paper) hard copy for I-485 received

09/23/2016 - RFIE Response sent

09/27/2016 - NBC received RFIE response (I-485 online status changed)

10/10/2016 - Filed SR for EAD & AP to update status (day 112 from RD)

10/14/2016 - Online status for I-485 updated to "Interview is Scheduled" for 11/16/16.

10/17/2016 - Received Interview Notice (dated 10/12/16)

10/22/2016 - Received hard copy of response to SR stating EAD will be processed w/in 90 days of evidence receipt (dated 10/19/16).

10/25/2016 - Online status for EAD changed to "New Card is Being Produced" and AP status changed to "Case Approved"

10/31/2016 - I-797 hard copy for EAD & AP received

11/04/2016 - EAD online status changed to "Card was Mailed to Me" (text notification received)

11/08/2016 - Combo card received (text message received)

11/16/2016 - Interviewed at 8:35am and got approved on the spot. Online status updated to "New Card is Being Produced" and I-130 updated to "Case Approved."

11/22/2016 - Received NOA2 (I-797) hard copy for both I-130 and I-485.

11/23/2016 - Text message received/Status changed - "Card was mailed to me"

11/26/2016 - Green card received.

10/25/2018 - Sent I-751 application to Texas SC (with G-1145)

10/28/2018 - USCIS received ROC application

Heads up everyone, here is a good news for Texas filers with receipt # SRC, today , I got an email stating a new card is being produced. Today makes it 14months and 25days since I filed my I-751. Now,

Received USPS Biometrics appt from Nebraska. But noted so far there is no indication of this action on My Status Online ("fingerprint fee was received" is only post by USCIS). Thus my question asked by my wife (applicant) what happens if the US Mail letter gets lost or not delivered correctly, and with no indication online or via text message or email?? The letter states unequivocally that if you do not appear for the appt, USCIS will consider this an abandonment of your application.

I updated my address online and got an email and letter confirming my address change. 

The biometrics appointment letter came to the correct address and the appointment is scheduled to the new address.

Good question. Probably one of reasons why it is worth following this forum. If it was me in the LIN October filing group and not received the letter by next week I would probably try to give them a call.

I actually don't remember getting a mail about my address update. I could be wrong.

 

Either way it doesn't hurt to call, ask them if they've sent you a letter, the rep might have the information that hasn't shown on the website yet. Good luck! :)

Hi guys,

 

 

I have not been able to reach USCIS at all as there seem to be no option to talk to a representative. First time I chose option number one to check case status and automated service just gave me the same thing that the fingerprint fee was received. then asked if needed to repeat or check another case and after that offered to hang up. Second time, I chose other option not to check the case status hoping that there would be an option to talk to representative but that second option only offered to listen to policies and then offered either to repeat or hang up. How do you manage to talk to someone? We changed the address and got email confirmation back in January but now everyone is receiving bio appointments and we did not receive anything.

Hi! You have to keep trying with the options. I think there is one to listen to more information about legal residents, and you just have to keep pressing options from there. You will end up pressing numbers 5 or 6 times until they let you introduce your LIN number and connect you with an actual representative. I know it can be confusing and annoying, but if you keep trying you will manage to find a way.

LIN filer walk in biometrics experience 

 

Hi all. Just wanted to share my experience today. Was part of LIN batch that got bio appointment notice recently. Mine was set for July 3rd at 8am. Now as you can imagine, after 8 months with no action, I got abit too excited and decided to head into the application support center early. I tried 8am today morning at first. There was a line of about 30 people ahead of me. The officer at the door politely told me to come back after 1pm today because they were obviously  busy, so I did just that. Came back at 3:20pm. Just 40 minutes before closing. Place was deserted. I was the only applicant in there. Was told doing bio early was not a problem now. They got me processed and out after 2 minutes. Only really took a pic because they said they still had my print in system. Just wanted share.
