Processing times just improved from 6 to 8 to 5.5 to 7.5!  Now Sep 1 receipt date to inquire!  I can submit one in 13 days now instead of a month!  Hoping it stays like that...

That’s awesome 👏

That's good, I'm just hoping it won't get to that stage! So now I'm expecting USCIS will approve May 11th 😂

We called to NVC - they still didn't receive our case ☹️ It's been 3 weeks after NOA-2. Is it normal to wait for a NVC number for that long?

It is normal. We were approved 2/25 and just got our case number 4/2 so over 4 weeks.

Stupid question but where you took this profile picture?  lol

We have no idea who you are talking to if you don't "quote" their post.

I have a stupid question. Where are you interviewing at, which Embassy? And what visa are you pursuing?

You haven't finished your profile so we can tell which can help us answer your questions specific to your embassy.

As I said in my post that this is not a requirement and you can choose not to participate. You indicated that you prefer not to so I will not ask again. The little information you provide is not something that can be used to do harm to you or your visa journey. I will keep my comments and any information that's worth sharing to myself and hope you continue to receive quality information from others. Good luck on your VJ.

Would commonality of names cause a delay in processing? My fiancé has a very common name, so maybe I can blame this all on him. :P I guess sometimes it’s fun to guess what went wrong, plus it keeps me busy and off case tracker lol

Yes common names can and do affect background checks.

I wouldn’t worry - both of us have very very uncommon names and were at 170 days+ now.
