Welcome to another monthly thread for those going through NVC

Please read everything below and refer to it throughout your NVC journey, whether this is your first month at NVC or your third. :bonk:

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Before posting questions, please read the wiki Saylin wrote on the NVC process here. Once you're done, read it one or two more times to really understand it ;)Don't forget to also read the official form instructions as well as USCIS and NVC's websites!
If you want to see a visual of the NVC process, please view Saylin's flowchart here.
Yes this thread was created by our great Queen Saylin and the knowledge is still going forward. This thread I pray stays alive and well as many who have gone through the process or still going can chime in and help and assist.
If you're wondering about time frames, look at the fellow members right here in this thread! Study their signatures/timelines and make notes. VJ also has this awesome page. Use it! I sure did during my process smile.png That means if you are on this thread WE expect you to have an up to date timeline.
And once you've got a case complete, please join the case complete/interview thread started by me, Dwheels76 on (currently November 2018 thread),
I'm confused too, I  was told I have case close by 3 NVC reps.. the 4th one said its not case close I had to call back and then was told it is case close and that the supervisor just has to do something and then the status will update. I'm confused.  My civil docs still say submitted but the aos docs are accepted. I'm calling them back first thing in the morning to quadruple check!
I’m gonna call and recheck as well because I don’t understand why it’s saying what I posted below in the picture when clearly the documents are submitted and accepted with only ONE document saying uploaded which is the new upload of the polic certificate that they were BEEN supposed to accept .
I think your lawyer just uploaded the new document but didn't submit it. Every time you upload a new document you have to click "Submit Documents" If it says Uploaded NVC will not be able to see your document.
I would, if I was you. Most likely if you call the NVC that's what they will tell you to do.
What happens a lot times is that the lawyers are not the ones doing this it's their assistants.
I'm going through the same thing with my lawyer - you would think they would know to upload the passport correctly so it's readable - I went in and did it myself too!  Not worth having to deal with them!
Yes thank you it worked it now says submitted! Hopefully they review at a decent time. I still need to call them tomorrow because this would have been taken care of had the nvc communicated with me the last 2 rejections exactly what they neeed from me. I had to speak to a supervisor this last time for her to tell me that they needed a letter from me stating this:
My lawyer came highly recommended:(! She works alone, no assistants, and in fact I sent her the same information I posted on here with the “no submit” stuff and asked her why it looked like that..all she told me was that she uploaded it and it should be fine. I understand she must be doing a lot working alone but lawyers are not cheap..i expect to get what i pay for. Honestly i am just so sad lately and husband and i have been fighting due to tension and separation of almost a year of not seeing each other..but 3 years total of being apart..which is nothing compared to most people..but its taking a toll now
