No problem...yes i did call and made a service request and also sent a letter plus the copy of naturalization certificate .That service request went fast though .And they will send you a mail saying c

I wonder will I need to resend the documents again.

I doubt it. Did you give them your nat cert no. ? then you shouldn't need it.

 

They will send a boiler plate email that has this gem below:

We have updated your relative petition to reflect that you are now a U.S. citizen. As a result, your petition has moved to a new visa category for an immediate relative of a U.S. citizen. This category does not have numerical restrictions, and a visa is immediately available from the U.S. Department of State. 

Your case has been placed in line for processing and you should receive a notice of action* within five months from date your petition was upgraded.

*A notice of action may be in a form of Approval Notice, Denial Notice, Transfer Notice, Request for Evidence, or Notice of Intent to Deny.

Nope, she didn't ask for it, she just asked my name and case number

she just told me to wait for their response and it may take 30 days

And I have a request number now that I don't know what I'm gonna do with.

PD : 05/02/2018

Naturalization date  : 04/17/2019 (I send docs same day)

request day : 04/30/2019

You should have your request completed by friday. If you already mailed the copy, they should be able to put two and two together. I'm waiting for letter myself and am praying its not an RFE.

I got a new notice of receipt it says they receive my application which is weird because I only sent an upgrade request and the new notice does not give any specific information. I asked USCIS with chat and they asked for new notice date and they say they need 6 months to process it even though my priority date is 2017. I do not get it why some got approval right away after upgrading and why others not. I am so disappointed now and so sad!!
